Communication Key to Success

We often forget how communication occurs naturally through the way we present ourselves. Our physical image along with body language tells its own story, but the underlying subtle aspects, the feelings and the nature of our soul, communicate as clearly and powerfully as that which is visible. Whatever we say or do contains this subtle element so what message is this whole package conveying? If we smile without the equivalent feeling, which is the more visible? Further, the effect of the smile will be only superficial. However, if we find ourselves in intense situations, yet our mood is light and the atmosphere uplifting, then harmony and solutions will automatically emerge.

Clearly then communication is not just about words - written or spoken - it is also about feelings and body language. When we care about someone our communication comes from a place of love and so there are no "real" obstacles - our tolerance and willingness to understand are effortless.

The key components of effective communication then are love, positivity, clarity of intention and purpose, a clear message and knowing the correct method and the right time to communicate. When we feel good about ourselves and have positive feelings towards those with whom we want to communicate, the message will work because the receiver will not only be picking up what is visible, but they will also receive and respond to the subtle.

Sometimes, we are unsure of what we want to say or what we mean. This is when we need to take time to sort out the content of our inner message so that the right message will emerge. At times, we may start saying one thing, only to find ourselves communicating something else. The subconscious mind takes over and we are relaying some inner thoughts and feelings that may not have found expression before.

If we want to improve our communication, then we need to develop the positive vibrations within and match our activities accordingly. Every thought, feeling, word and action creates a vibration, which either enhances or depresses the atmosphere! This subtle communication occurs naturally, and so we are responsible for ensuring it is positive.

People respond well to good feelings so by setting up our pure inner resonance and strengthening our respect for the self and others, we will begin to communicate good things, at the right time, in a manner that is positive. And finally, let us not forget the power of the golden language of silence – for that speaks a thousand words!
